Hi H

There are many different strains of herpes virus and if you bite your lip, tongue or inner mouth, and you have the virus living in the ganglia of the neck, that stressor of biting will reactivate the virus. Irritated skin, lack of sleep, and stress can reactivate HSV I and II. Reread the blog again!!

i learned that herpes are the same as canker sores and cold sores. aren't canker sores created by excessive biting of the tongue/inner cheek, not necessarily a virus that attacks? or are those viral as well? and do herpes always show up on your skin, or is there some more serious virus going on inside of you that should be treated?
i feel like cold sores are results of either irritated skin or stress or lack of sleep.... and now i am quite confused.

(please submit my name as H.)

In all likelihood, she will fell irritation and pain-- especially if the blacksplash of urine makes contact with the papule(s). If the sores are not fully out on the gential skin, she will feel a pins and needles tingling sensation which is her warning system that she is about to get an active outbreak. Believe me, my experience is that most women with HSV feel their papules!!!

Hi P
Your question is worthy of a new blog topic. So I will answer it there. Look for STD's: TELL AND KISS.

Overall with any form of STD, how should you go about telling someone that you have one? I feel that it would be someone's right to know but i have heard people say that once you practice safe sex then there is no need to disclose that information. Is that true as well?

Just an afterthought.. there is a lot more to say about HSV-I Oral Herpes and HSV-II Genital Herpes. I invite more questions so I can give specific responses, otherwise, those of you who know me also know that I can rattle on and on and on......
